No, beginners of all fitness levels and experience are welcome. Our classes are designed to help you gradually build strength, endurance, and technique.
For your first few classes, you can wear comfortable athletic wear like a t-shirt and shorts. We provide loaner gis (BJJ uniforms) for beginners, and you can purchase your own if you decide to continue training.
For beginners, we recommend starting with 2-3 classes per week. As you progress, you can adjust your schedule based on your goals and availability.
No, sparring is not mandatory for beginners. You can observe or participate in controlled drills until you feel comfortable enough to spar.
Safety is our top priority. Our instructors emphasize proper technique and control to minimize the risk of injury. Like any physical activity, there is a risk, but we work hard to create a safe training environment.
